Wastewater-based Epidemiology

We are an integral part of a New York State collaborative effort between SUNY-ESF, Syracuse University, Upstate Medical University, Quadrant Biosciences, and the New York Department of Health. Together, we are actively involved in wastewater-based epidemiology for SARS-CoV-2, Monkeypox, and other pathogens. The methods our team here at Green Lab worked to develop in collaboration with Upstate Medical University are currently being used to monitor influent wastewater samples in counties across the state and at several university campuses.
